Pity the man standing at your local newsagent: from today till 1st August, he must cower beneath the implacable orange glare of Master Chief, whose helmet adorns the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine in the UK. The issue is stuffed with information about Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One, plus breakdowns of the recently announced Scalebound, Forza Horizon 2 and Assassin's Creed: Unity among other upcoming delights.
To be exact, the issue covers 13 of Xbox One's biggest exclusives and 25 brand new games, in addition to known quantities like Alien Isolation, Tom Clancy's The Division and FIFA 15. There's a big old interview with Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield, co-founders of Sledgehammer Games, developer of the (genuinely quite advanced-seeming) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: it covers how the new game makes use of Xbox One's grunt, the campaign's length, potential for another "No Russian" moment and those flashes of Dead Space DNA.
We've also discussed the intricacies of the Xbox One's design with Carl Ledbetter, Microsoft's director of hardware development, and chatted to Insomniac's Marcus Smith about Sunset Overdrive's colourful, intensely pop savvy city. Last but not least, there's a conversation with Phil Harrison, corporate vice-president of Microsoft Studios in Europe, about what to expect from both Xbox One and Xbox One games in the months to come.
Order the new issue online here, or download a digital copy from iTunes, Zinio, the Windows Store or Google Play. If you fancy signing up for more issues, you can also subscribe on iTunes (you'll receive our latest issue free), or consider taking out a print subscription.
Not from the UK? Fear not - the vast majority of the above will also appear in OXM US, which goes on sale 22nd July.
