Black Tusk's Gears of War "has to grow franchise" on Xbox One, urges Spencer

It won't be a "quick" turnaround, then

This is OXM ETboy, reporting live from Somewhere in the Games Industry, where I am Playing A Game that Hasn't Been Released Yet, about which you can Expect To Hear More in the Not Too Distant Future. The developers are still setting things up, so I thought I'd take a moment to tell you about the latest Twitter happenings.

Gears of War Xbox One! It's in development at Black Tusk Studios, as you hopefully already know. According to Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer, the new game won't just continue the series but "reignite" and "grow" it - a tacit admission, perhaps, that last year's Gears of War: Judgment wasn't quite the big seller it could have been.

Former Epic and Irrational Games man Rod Fergusson has joined Black Tusk to work on the new Gears of War. How's it going, Rod? Here's an insight straight from the factory floor.

I hope that boob is 1080p, Rod, or we'll have another riot on our hands. You may also wish to walk past and photograph an unclothed plastic man at some point, to balance out the gender equation.

Right then, back to the Hands-On Journalism. Any guesses as to what I'm playing?
