First major Xbox One update will release in March, say insiders - dashboard fixes ahoy

Will focus on tuning up party chat, social features and general Xbox Live performance

Leaks! Leaks everywhere! The latest pertains to the release of the Xbox One's first major dashboard update - according to sources close to The Verge, it'll make landfall in March, and will nobble problems with Xbox Live party functions, the "usability and placement of social features" and Xbox Live performance at large.

These will be glad tidings indeed if you're having trouble with party chat - often described as a huge step back from the user-friendliness of the Xbox 360's equivalent. Microsoft has yet to share release timing for the next update, but PR man Major Nelson promises that the company is aware of customer misgivings. "I can't offer a timeline of a list of what till be addressed first, but we are aware of the issue and things will get better," he wrote in December.
