Swaggering mech blaster Titanfall will release for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on 11th March in North America, 13th March in Europe and 14th March in the UK, EA and developer Respawn Entertainment have announced. Mark your calendars, Pilots.
"Since we revealed the game in June we've been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall," observed the studio's Vince Zampella in a release. "The feedback we're getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype."
Who's buying this, then? Shame it isn't out in time for the Xbox One's launch, but then again Respawn's Abbie Heppe has suggested that this could be for the best. "It's tough to be one of the first ones out of the gate as you're affected by any problems there might be on the Microsoft or the server end," she remarked over the summer. "But anything like that will be fixed by the time we're out." Fingers crossed.
For more on why Titanfall might be just a little bit unmissable, here's my hands-on from earlier this month. Be warned, there are romantic metaphors.
Ta to Ben Borthwick for the heads-up on the UK date.
