Dominic Guay, lead producer of Watch Dogs has been talking about how playing the game on Xbox One may make for a more dynamic city in an interview with Gaming Target.
Talking about the potential of the next-gen versions of the game, Guay admits that since the hardware is very new Ubisoft Montreal are still very much in the "R&D period" but goes on to mention how "there's plenty of power" within the new hardware. "That's where our engineers are working."
Giving an example of how exactly they plan to utilise the power of Xbox One, Dominic offers up an example of being able to simulate the water in the city of Chicago in full 3D. "If you go on a boat the waves that form will affect other boats." he says.
These improvements will also stretch to the AI: "We're also able to spend more time giving brains to the other people on the streets so that they can basically be smarter, and there can be more of them." Ultimately, Guay makes the claim that "The way the city reacts to you, we are able to push further on the Xbox One."
All this seems to align with what Ubisoft told us about how the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions would differ back at E3. For more information on Watch Dogs, check out our preview.
