State of Decay's second title update is experiencing a few teething troubles, if user upset on Twitter and the game forums is any indication - some players have run into freezing bugs. Undead Labs is looking into things, but cautions that only a minority of users appear to be affected by the more severe issues, which makes it difficult to isolate them.
Here's a salvo of Tweets from the official account.
If you have had a game that stays frozen, or has an eternal load screen, read on.— Undead Labs (@undeadlabs) July 1, 2013
It's happening to so few people that we can't get a solid read on what's going on. (more)— Undead Labs (@undeadlabs) July 1, 2013
If you have either issue and know how to extract a save file to send us, please, PLEASE let me know. We need you!— Undead Labs (@undeadlabs) July 1, 2013
There's also the below forum post from QA director "DJ", which may be of use if you're affected by the freezing bug. "What I need is... the exact model number and manufacturing date of your Xbox. How much space remaining on your hard drive and internal memory unit.
"This is not easy to track down. There is nothing consistent in the reports and other than the game crashing it appears to just happen at random. It could be hardware failure inside the Xbox, it could be the power supply is failing, it could be a bad sector on the hard drive (uninstalling and reinstalling wouldn't fix that, as it would install back to the same place), it could be things are overheating inside (putting your hand on the Xbox cannot always tell you if something is overheating inside).
"Now, that said, I'm not automatically blaming this on hardware failure. To find what is causing this, we need to find the common element. I've been reading this post, pulling my hair out and contacting MS. I would recommend you do the same in addition to helping me out with information on what console your running on. If this is something we can fix, we would love to."
Anything to report, ladies?
