So there I was, watching an event about some next generation console or other that isn't Xbox One, when lo and behold the manufacturer responsible goes and announces a game that's relevant to my platform. Drum roll please - Bethesda's Tamriel-spanning MMO The Elder Scrolls Online is coming to Xbox One and PS4 early next year.
Here's Bethesda's Peter Hines with confirmation. Look out for more news in the morning. Well, later in the morning.
Just announced: Elder Scrolls Online is coming to PS4 and Xbox One when it's released Spring 2014.— Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) June 11, 2013
Update - Here's the first trailer, and a few new screens and the game's Xbox One packshot are clickable below.
So, do you pledge allegiance to the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant, or the Ebonheart Pact? You'll be able to choose your own style of play in The Elder Scroll Online. Want to wander alone along the highways and byways of Tamriel? No problem. Would you rather explore the world and go dungeon-crawling with a few select friends and fellow treasure hunters? You can do that too. Or, if you're feeling particularly bold, you can participate with hundreds of others in massive PvP battles to save the Empire.
