DICE has released screenshots and details of the maps you'll find in Battlefield 3's final DLC pack, End Game. Lock and (down)load.
"Four distinct maps are on offer in End Game," reads a post on the Battlefield blog. "Size-wise, they are comparable to Caspian Border and Operation Firestorm from the base game, while the flag layout resembles that in our previous expansion pack Armored Kill - Meaning that we have spaced the capture points and bases to make full use of the entire Battlefield.
"While all maps are carefully created to cater for the new dirt bike, the new AA vehicles should see heavy use on most of the maps as well. This new transport has a roof mounted turret that can switch between rockets and anti-air missiles to protect your infantry and combat air threats.
Here's a brief outline of the new maps. Operation Riverside is "infantry-friendly" thanks to the uneven terrain and vegetation, though players riding the new dirt bikes may prove the real terror here. Nebandan Flats is a weapons depots surrounded by desert, and thus lends itself to full-on vehicle action and quick offensives.
Kaisar Railroad is another infantry-friendly jobby, a logging camp surrounded by undulating forested hills, split by branching roads. And the snowed-in Sabalan Pipeline, finally, is built for a mix of combat styles. You can read more through the cut.
Besides the maps, End Game introduces a couple of old/new game modes, dropship support when you control the central flag on Conquest, a couple of AA trucks and the aforesaid bikes - read more about it here. You'll also get additional Achievements, assignments and dog tags.
End Game is out in March.
