Weeks after we reported that Minecraft Xbox 360's 1.8.2 patch was "weeks" away, 4J has Tweeted that there are still, in fact, weeks to go. Awww.
It's not all bad news, however. If we're reading the hints correctly, studio technology boss Paddy Burns recently managed to persuade Epic's Cliff Bleszinski to dress up as a Creeper. There's a picture. Certainly makes a change from that one of him holding the Lancer, doesn't it?
"We're still working on 1.8.2," reads the Tweet in full. "A few things left to add, more work on the Creative Mode interface, then lots of test. Still weeks away..."
This is one of the toughest, tricksiest Minecraft updates, not simply rebalancing the existing play of tools and materials but folding in the enormities of Creative Mode. New to Creative Mode? In a nutshell, it gives you infinite blocks and the power of flight. Just one of several forthcoming Minecraft features that will totally change the game.
"We are trying to do updates bit by bit but this particular update happens to be quite a substantial one," head of research and development Richard Reavy told his followers on Tuesday. Other confirmed features include new Easter eggs for Tutorial World, an experience system, Superflat Worlds and chainmail.
