OXM 81 on-sale now!

Mass Effect 3! DiRT Showdown! The very worst of 2011!

The latest issue of OXM is now on store shelves, containing exclusive new screens and details on Mass Effect 3, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, DmC: Devil May Cry and more.

Our annual preview rounds up the best new games of 2012, headed by Mass Effect 3 - Matt went over to Bioware specially to grill project lead Casey Hudson and get the latest screenshots. Tameem Antionades from Ninja Theory tells us quite how surprised he was by the reaction to Devil May Cry's new-look Dante, IO Interactive consider adding co-op to Hitman, and Irrational Games' Ken Levine stays true to highly cerebral form by dropping a Freud reference in our long discussion of games in general and Bioshock Infinite in particular.

Elsewhere Ed and Log have a fight about whether the Elder Scrolls should have co-op, we consider death of Final Fight and the side-scrolling brawler genre and many people are stabbed in Assassin's Creed Revelations online. There are also five exclusive Assassin's Creed Revelations gamerpics on the disc, along with demos of utterly loveable platformer Rayman Origins and more.

It's available now in all good newsagents and supermarkets. You can buy a copy online with free delivery, or get a digital version of OXM for £2 less on Apple Newsstand. Android and PC users can get it from Zinio.
