Whilst we liked the idea of having to attend a couple of cocktail parties throughout the duration of Arkham City, Rocksteady don't seem too keen on the idea.
For those of you angrily quizzing the decision to omit the inclusion of ribbon-cutting mini-games and soiree-simulations, Rocksteady's Dax Ginn has a pretty blunt answer as to why it's not gonna happen:
"Because it's a Batman game. He's powerful and aspirational but you never lose sight of the fact that he is mortal. It's such fertile ground and in Arkham City we will go deeper into the man behind the cowl by bringing in characters like Hugo Strange, who knows Batman's true identity, and Talia al Ghul, who has a romantic relationship with him."
Carrying on from this, Dax follows up with a pretty solid point about the nature of their series: "Our aim has always been to make an action game, not a business simulator, and when you start thinking about what you would do while playing as Bruce Wayne, it doesn't seem terribly exciting in comparison."
They might have a point there, to be honest. Still, we can't help but wonder what a Bruce Wayne simulator would be like...
What do you guys reckon - happy that it's 100% bats, or gutted that we won't be getting a Brucie bonus?
