Remedy has told IGN that they'd love to make the sequel for Alan Wake.
Remedy is working on the DLC episodes for the time being but head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen has talked about future plans for Alan Wake.
"We're a small team," Hakkinen explains. "But yeah, Microsoft are interested in more episodes. Where we're sitting right now is we'll see how these [first two add-ons] go.
"We're happy with the partnership and they're happy with the game. I don't see any reason why we wouldn't continue with Microsoft and why we wouldn't renew the IP ... we definitely want a sequel of course."
As do most people who played Alan Wake do, we wager. Still, as Remedy says it depends on the success of the DLC first and foremost, so we'll see how that goes first. There's a bizarre ending that the DLC needs to clear up before we move onto the issue of a sequel.
